19.05.2011: In rund 420 Tagen werden wir das nächste Mal in Yakutat sein. Diese Zeit soll mit Bildern der Wetterkamera von Yakutat dokumentiert werden können. Dazu wird jeden Tag etwa um die gleiche Zeit die Aufnahme der nach Norden ausgerichteten Kamera archiviert:
- Im Mai – Oktober nachmittags um 15:30 Uhr oder abends um 21:00 Uhr
- Im November – April um 21:00 Uhr Schweizer Zeit
Die rund 420 Bilder werden am Schluss zu einem Zeitrafferfilm aneinandergefügt und mit Hilfe des MovieMakers® zu einem Film verarbeitet, der auch noch mit Musik hinterlegt werden kann. Der Film soll nicht zu lange dauern und die Dauer muss einen Zusammenhang mit der Zahl 420 haben. Angestrebt wird die Dauer von 420 sec (1 Bildern pro sec). Ob dies zum gewünschten Zeitraffereffekt führt, wird sich dann bei den Testläufen zeigen. Wie der Titel des Films sein wird, steht noch nicht definitiv fest. Irgendwas in der Art von “420Tage Warten in 420sec”…
Alle Aufnahmen werden als .jpg elektronisch abgelegt. Alle Aufnahmen werden in diesem Dokument als Kleinbild archiviert. Herausforderung: Garantieren einer möglichst lückenlosen Photoreihe. Sollte eine Tagesaufnahme fehlen, wird die Aufnahme vom Vortag eingesetzt.
05/19/2011: Our next fishing trip to Yakutat wants to be beginning in about 420 days. This waiting time should be documented with pictures from the Yakutat airport weather camera. There are daily picked up a recorded picture from the north-facing camera more or less at the same time (Swiss time clock):
- During spring to fall months May to October at 3:30pm in the afternoon or evening at 9:00pm
- During winter months November to April at 9:00pm Swiss time clock
In July 2012 these approximately 420 images goes joined together to a time-lapse movie. I need to use Microsoft MovieMakers® to do this join. The duration of this movie must have a correlation with the number 420th – the duration of 420 sec (1 sec per picture) or 210 sec (0.5 sec per picture) are the nearest options. The title of this short movie will not be definitely fixed yet. Finally it will be something like “420 waiting days in 420/210 seconds”…
All recorded pictures are electronically saved with the dimensions of 640x450pixels as smalls jpg-files and the original pictures (640×480 – with time stamp) will be archived as a thumbnail in this blog-entry. Special challenge: Build a complete photo serie over all, especially during holidays too. All missing pictures are replaced with the pictures from the previous day.
